Digital panel meters with display Working principle: Transducers are measuring devices that transform a mechanical phenomenon (weight, displacement, pressure etc .) into electrical signals (mV, V etc .): a panel meter feeds them a power supply and recives those electrical values, far away showing them onto a display (in mechanical units) and also retransmits them by means of serial digital outputs (RS232, RS485, CAN Open, PROFIBUS) and analog outputs (±5V, ±10V and 4-20mA) to other external electronics such as a computer, a PLC or a datalogger.
