Web tension control Working principle: Tensiometer load cells series RL measure, by means of strain gauge technology, the radial force vector that a web (of paper, textile, rubber, metal etc) applies to a measuring roll. The load cell has inside an housing to host a ball bearing. It is possible to apply one or two RL to the ends of the roll and then to sum their signals. The Wheatstone bridge measures the vector radial force, by measuring the strain that is applied on the RL metal frame (CAD and FEM tested). DS Europe load cells have a good sale price.
